Jagan's remand extended up Feb 27:
Supporters of the Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be irked by
the detention of their leader without CBI submitting the proofs of his
involvement in the high value Disproportionate Assets case. Yesterday
when the case had come for hearing after his last remand tenure ended on
Wednesday, the Court questioned the CBI on the similar lines. However
CBI put up a bold face with the same old argument that being an elite
personality his freedom could sabotage the evidence which is just
braving to come forth.
Looking
at things the whole scenario looks political, vindictive and what not.
But many sympathizers believe the tiger in the barricades is more
fearful. Similarly Jagan in the confines has boosted the party's
opportunities with growing public patronage.
Under
these circumstances, the leader is working towards the success of the
party where ever he is. Since the last eight months he had been confined
by the investigation agency and that is sure to reap rich dividends at
the electorate in the coming days. A similar fete was visible when the
state went for by polls in June last year. Of the eighteen seats, YSR
Congress Party led by Jagan won nearly 16 and gave a tough battle for
TRS in its lone victory. However Congress just won two seats while TDP
was tossed out of its strong holds in the Krishna district and in the
end got no seats.
Another defection in TDP:
Jagan's party has been the retiring room to many defections from other
parties. Leaders have walked out of various parties and joined this
young Kadapa MP who aspires to rule the state through the electorate.
There were instances of mass exodus from Congress and TDP into the
Jagan's party. However for sometime there was a break on the issue and
seldom talks of political attrition was noted.
The
latest news that has surfaced yesterday with the visit of a prominent
TDP leader to Chanchalguda is sure to put the party in unrest for quite
sometime. The MLA belongs to the northern parts of the state.
Another
shock to the TDP is that its MLC Boddu Bhaskara Rama Rao is also ready
for the giant leap. He also visited Jagan in his prison. According to
political critics, Chanchalguda has become a not-to-miss landmark for
the political leaders with the kingpin in state politics, Jagan being
lodged there.
The irony
is, Jagan seems to garner more mileage after CBI started the probing
his involvement in massive corruption. This leaves the average common
man ponder over who is right and who is wrong? Have we got an
alternative, not likely in the near future...
No celebration on KCR's birthday:
TRS will not celebrate this Sunday after the party supremo has resented
celebrations on his birthday. TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao has
voiced that he would not be celebrating his birthday this year due to
the mounting suicides of the Telangana youth. In fact his birthday is on
Feb 17, and his followers plan massive celebrations on that day every
year. But this year the leader has firmly said a no.
Why?
There has
been wide speculations over his withdrawal. The rumors gained
prominence as the situation was more worse in the past. As per some
speculations it is felt that the party's inability to voice against
Delhi over the dillydallying of Congress on the T issue. There has been
resentments from the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee. In
order to gain back the party's lost glory as head of the movement, this
move by the supremo is sure to make the difference, claim critics.
