No more political decency: Political decency has been conveniently wiped out by major number of politicians across the nation and our state is no exception. Where has this deterioration taken its roots. While politicians like Dr Jayaprakash Narayan (Lok Satta) stand tall amidst these modern aged politicians in education and in verbal decency, most fail to realize the importance of the dame. Given a chance today's politicos are ready to launch a personal scathe attack on the opposition. They forget limitations and proper adjectives to support or oppose anybody, by doing so setting bad examples to their followers.
The
aggressive speeches, at times, disturb communal harmony, and bring about
general unrest. The worst part is every incident is conveniently
twisted to gain political mileage and staying in limelight. With such
leaders ruling the roost, containing a nation of billions with more
uneducated populace would become more difficult, in the near future.
It would
be really nice of politicians to restrict their attacks to agenda based
than making it personal. By doing so, issues could be settled amicably,
without many unwanted controversies.
Afzal Guru meets his end: It has been a long time since the death warrant against the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist, Mohammad Afzal Guru has been pending. The prime accused of master minding the attack on Parliament in 2001 was sentenced to death by the Apex Court in 2004. It also took the epitome authority nearly seven years to reject his mercy plea filed in 2006. Fortunately the eleven years old accused was executed today in the Tihar Jail at 8 am. The government took the bold move after a trail on Ajmal Kasab the prime accused in Mumbai blasts.
Kasab
faced similar fate in November last year, and since then Afzal had been
counting his days. However abetting terrorism from cross borders is
evident from the fact that days after the execution of the terrorist,
two soldiers bodies were found mutilated by our unfriendly neighbors on
the LOC. Sort of a beastly revenge to satisfy the avenger's ego,
probably.
Pathetic
yet the bare truth is, we are strangers in our own land. Curfew has been
imposed in the sensitive J&K valley. Security has been beefed up on
the LOC and in the sensitive state. At times goodness is equated to
inability....
Sakshi Media, face of truth: Sakshi media is a venomous lady, claims the TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. Probably the leader rates the media, based on its editorial condemning many issues relating to the TDP and Congress. It also tries to give a clean chit to the YSRCP supremo Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. However the YSRCP leader Sharmila Reddy retorts that Sakshi is neither venomous nor filled with nectar but is a bold expression of facts. She adds that this could at times attracts the ire of the ridiculed, but it is helpless. In spite four channels singing praise of the TDP leader, it was only Sakshi that had shown proofs to his 'lie promises' to bewitch public.
The reply
could be a befitting one, but media which had to traverse in a median
line is slowly inclining to its supporters. While few are held by
politicians many are patronized by parties. In fact with the growing
media presence in the nation, it plays a vital role in swaying the
fortunes at the electoral. Most politicians rely on this for their
day-to-day limelight menu. When such is the case an unbiased group is no
where in the vicinity.
