IT raids on Tollywood disturbs filmy & political circles alike

Ganesh1

The Income tax scanner on mega producers of Tollywood has been sending shivers in the filmy circle. But a recent raid of fifteen officers at the premises of Bandla Ganesh not only shook the Woods but also the political setup. Wide financial discrepancies encountered the IT sleuths who were perplexed about the sudden rise of this star who started out with a Ravi Teja film in 2009 and had failed at box office with Pawan Kalyan's Teen Maar, in 2011. However, 2012 was very lucky for Ganesh who rewrote records with his sensational hit 'Gabbar Singh.'

At the moment, he had planned three big budget films with junior NTR, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan. The first two are in the completion stage while the third is in the planning stage. This aspect perplexed the IT sleuths that from a weak background with just one hit how could this actor turned producer make it so big.....

Anyways that is His-story, but at the moment this incident has raised the mercury levels in the political setup as well. TDP leader Dhadi Veerabhadra Rao urges the IT department to check over the links of Bandla Ganesh and the PCC Chief Botsa Sathyanarayana or with any other politician who could be behind the funding of such mighty budgeted films. This is what they say in chaste Telugu, 'pull the creeper and the whole shrub will be hampered.'

Swamy Goud faces a different music:

Swami-Goud

The former Telangana NGO supremo Swamy Goud faced a different situation, which should have deterred him much. The leader who has now joined the TRS openly, is contesting on the party ticket as an MLC from the Karimnagar graduate constituency. Owing to his earlier stint and access, his party activists had stuck his propaganda notices at many offices which the leader used to visit freely.

The Election Commission had firmly objected to it, delivering the bitter pill to the supremo. This should have left  the supremo understand the ground reality of his present assignment. As the supremo of an association he could do anything in the offices that were under it, but as a party leader his access is restricted and is governed by the EC laws.

T JAC splits on the anvil? :

Danam

Telangana Political Joint Action Committee spearheaded by prof Kodandaram has in its fold various student, community and employee organizations.  There was a wide speculation that the T JAC was inclined towards the TRS. However the statement of Kodandaram over the state leaders silence to the dillydallying of the party high command raised suspicion that not all was well with TJAC and TRS. Now another party is on the anvil to take away a major slice of the T JAC.

Remember Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who hails from the region and split from TDP to voice his concern over the T issue. This gentleman initially started an protest outfit as 'Telangana Nagara', which never seriously took off. He won the Nagarkurnool MLA seat as an independent.  Most recently he admitted on a TV interview that he had plans to start another party in T. and to the surprise of many Gajjala Kantha, President of the BC, SC & ST JAC of Telangana expressed desire to join the new party.

This simply implies the possible split in the T JAC. In spite of fighting for a common cause, ideologies vary. Precisely political ambitions vary at macro point and every one want limelight when the dream comes true!
