Jagan Threatens Assembly Speaker

Jagan Threatens Assembly Speaker

Jagan threatens Assembly Speaker

Andhra Pradesh opposition leader YS Jagan has threatened Assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao of moving no confidence motion against him for being biased in the House. Jagan after the Assembly session, held a press meet at Assembly committee hall and also blamed electronic media for being supportive to the government and not showing the opposition party's efforts in the House.

“Speaker Kodela is indirectly supporting TDP government and accordingly our voice in the house is being reduced. Also suspending our MLAs is unfair and we demand Speaker to immediately lift the suspension and also take back the notice given to one more MLA,” said Jagan giving warning to the Kodela. Jagan also lashed out at the TDP leaders who are constantly blaming him of taking about two hours of time while debating on AP budget. “I started my speech at 11:08 AM and ended it at 1:40 PM. I spoke for about two and half hours but I was interrupted by TDP leaders 17 times which wasted 106 minutes of my time. I did not deviate from the subject and what promises TDP made before elections and how many funds were allocated to respective schemes and ministry were the highlights of the debate. Speaker Kodela disconnected by mike and allowed TDP leaders to reply when it was my turn, probably nowhere in the country this would happen,” added Jagan.

While the TDP has hit back at Jagan and his party in this regards. Somebody was writing technical details of AP budget outside the house and Jagan is just reading out those papers. His arguments don't have credibility and it shows his lack of experience. Coming to the time issue, Jagan spoke for about one hour and 50 minutes, probably no opposition leader will be given such an opportunity and Speaker Kodela gave ample of time for YSRCP. Still, Jagan is confined to accuse the government, said a TDP leader.

Why Not Kurnool And Why Vijayawada

Why Not Kurnool And Why Vijayawada

Why not Kurnool and Why Vijayawada

Less than 24 hours of Andhra Pradesh government confirming Vijayawada as the temporary capital of the residuary state, criticism from all corners are pouring down at the Telugu Desam party. The demand for second capital in Rayalaseema has been in the radar for sometime and with the government announcement, Rayalaseema leaders broke their silence.

Justice Laxman Reddy who heads the Rayalaseema Sadhana committee has opposed this decision and questioned why can't the government make Kurnool as the temporary capital of AP. He also quizzed why the government has made Vijayawada as capital in a hurry. “Kurnool has all the facilities that a capital requires but don't know why the government made Vijayawada as temporary capital and don't understand the logic behind either. Moreover, Hyderabad is already a temporary capital and what is the necessary for second fugitive,” said Laxman Reddy.

Congress party too opposed the decision of temporary capital. Former PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana in a statement said, “Vijayawada is made capital only for the benefit of Krishna district TDP leaders. What will happen to the Seemandhra people in Hyderabad and when key decisions like this are taken, government should take the initiative of holding an all-party meeting. This shows TDP has a agenda in making Vijayawada as capital.”

Andhra Pradesh government has announced Vijayawada as the temporary capital of the state and CM Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to search for government properties and space around the city so as to move key departments from Hyderabad.

Rekha spotted in Parliament

Bollywood actress Rekha has been under severe criticism over the past one week for not making it to the Parliament and her attendance percentage was quite low. Rajya Sabha debated over Rekha and Sachin Tendulkar's absence in the house and few Mps demanded to declare their seat vacate. Cricket legend Sachin has explained his reasons for being away from Parliament sessions and also got a grant for the leave he applied.

It was the turn of Rekha now and all of a sudden she appeared today in Parliament.  As she was spotted by the media at the entrance of Parliament, huge number rushed at Rekha to greet her. She was seen in cream colored sari and greeted the media. Left Party MP P Rajeeve stood in the house and announced in the mic about Rekha's presence.

This Rekha's eight appearance in the Parliament, so far she attended only seven days since she was nominated for Rajya Sabha in 2012. Hope now the real politicians stop criticising them and focus on debate that will benefit the people of country.
