West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has dared Prime minister Narendra Modi
and BJP president Amit Shah to arrest her when she will be paying a
visit to Madan Mitra who was detained by the CBI in connection with the
multi-crore Saradha scam. Mamata blasted the NDA government and called
Madan's arrest a 'political conspiracy.'
Addressing
the media in Kolkatta, Mamata said, “Madan was asked to come for probe
as witness and as the case progress, he was accused and arrested. Isn't
it called 'Political Vendetta?' Slamming Amit Shah, the Bengal CM added,
“the man who arrested and chargesheeted by the CBI is pointing fingers
are us. We will tear their mask and fight against the BJP government in Delhi.”
Mamata
called Centre's act a coward and termed its governance as Emergency
situation. The ruling Trinamool Congress party will start agitating from
tomorrow on the streets of Kolkatta and are likely to take up the issue
to Parliament on Monday.
Congress
leaders are known to be more democratic. Many leaders criticise others
and few even dare and open their mouth against high command and the top
leaders. Coming to the point, yesterday, Congress leaders Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Vamsi Chand Reddy were involved in a fight at wedding and even
went to file a complaint against each other.
The CCTV visuals of the fight were out and it clearly showed that former MLA
Vishnuvardhan Reddy first man-handled Vamsi Chand who just arrived at
the venue. Later on Vamsi was attacked by mob of Vishnu supporters. Not
stopping their, Vishnu even threatened Vamsi to come for a street fight
anywhere in Hyderabad.

is totally over now in Maharashtra as two national parties Bharatiya

Hunger strikes are not new for YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan
but they end up without any proper result. Yet again, Jagan decided to
go for a hunger strike in protest over the delay in farm loan waiver
scheme that was promised by Telugu Desam party during elections and came
into power. However, YSRCP leaders were against this decision of Jagan
and opposed it.
According
to the sources, few leaders opined that the party did not get much
response from the earlier programs and it would fetch nothing to party
if it launches another agitation. But Jagan is firm to go on hunger
strike and if leaders accepted this proposal yesterday, Jagan was
considering to go fast unto death from Eluru. In West Godavari district,
YSR Congress party did not win even a single seat in May elections and
so to strengthen the party in the district, Jagan opted Eluru.
YSRCP
leaders advised Jagan to be in wait and watch mode as the government has
announced to waive certain amount of farm loans in October and if
government fails to do so, then Jagan can go ahead with hunger strike
plan. Also the party has decided to stage protests from October second
week in regards to the farm loan waiver scheme. In addition to this,
YSRCP also discussed about the future of the party in Telangana state
and spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said, YSRCP will also operate in
Telangana. The government is yet to implement farm loan waiver scheme
and we will fight with people over this.
The
Central Bureau of Investigation [CBI] has filed 11th chargesheet in the
disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan. Along
with Jagan, Vijayasai and Shyamprasad Reddy, 14 other names were
included in the chargesheet.
As per
the chargesheet, CBI claimed that then chief minister Rajasekhar Reddy
has offered lands to Shyamprasad Reddy at minimal value and in return,
the latter invested Rupees 70 crores in Jagan's companies which resulted
in loss of government revenue. After quite a long time, Jagan's assets case has moved forward.
The
KC Sivaramakrishna Committee which was appointed by the Union government
regarding the new capital, has submitted its report yesterday. The
reports is of 187 pages and the committee took around 4,728 suggestions
from several organisations, leaders and people. Here are the highlights:
AP state should be declared special status as severe financial problems are ahead.
If Vijayawada - Guntur region is made the capital then there would be more financial and environmental problems.
For providing better infrastructure in new capital, the estimated budget is Rs 1,536 crores.
Vijayawada - Guntur land prices are
quite high and farmers will be the major losers. The new capital city
needs 10,000 acres of land whereas only 1,458 acres of land is available
in Vijayawada- Guntur region.
There is no need for High Court to be
established in the new capital city. Vizag can be alloted AP High Court
and Rayalaseema can be preferred for High Court Bench.
For the construction of Raj Bhavan, 15 acres needed.
20 acres needed for CM camp office, ministers offices and secretariat.
80 to 100 acres needed for AP Assembly.
Gathering of land for the new capital would take around 3 to 4 years.
Better infrastructure and Educational institutes should be set up in backward districts.
All the government offices should be established in all the 13 districts.
The committee suggested for
decentralisation of development. Assembly, High Court, Secretariat
needed to formed in different places.
IT and Industries should be established in Vizag region.
Andhra Pradesh opposition leader YS Jagan has threatened Assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao of moving no
confidence motion against him for being biased in the House. Jagan after
the Assembly session, held a press meet at Assembly committee hall and
also blamed electronic media for being supportive to the government and
not showing the opposition party's efforts in the House.
“Speaker
Kodela is indirectly supporting TDP government and accordingly our voice
in the house is being reduced. Also suspending our MLAs is unfair and
we demand Speaker to immediately lift the suspension and also take back
the notice given to one more MLA,” said Jagan giving warning to the
Kodela. Jagan also lashed out at the TDP leaders who are constantly
blaming him of taking about two hours of time while debating on AP
budget. “I started my speech at 11:08 AM and ended it at 1:40 PM. I
spoke for about two and half hours but I was interrupted by TDP leaders
17 times which wasted 106 minutes of my time. I did not deviate from the
subject and what promises TDP made before elections and how many funds
were allocated to respective schemes and ministry were the highlights of
the debate. Speaker Kodela disconnected by mike and allowed TDP leaders
to reply when it was my turn, probably nowhere in the country this
would happen,” added Jagan.
While the
TDP has hit back at Jagan and his party in this regards. Somebody was
writing technical details of AP budget outside the house and Jagan is
just reading out those papers. His arguments don't have credibility and
it shows his lack of experience. Coming to the time issue, Jagan spoke
for about one hour and 50 minutes, probably no opposition leader will be
given such an opportunity and Speaker Kodela gave ample of time for
YSRCP. Still, Jagan is confined to accuse the government, said a TDP
leader.
Less
than 24 hours of Andhra Pradesh government confirming Vijayawada as the
temporary capital of the residuary state, criticism from all corners are
pouring down at the Telugu Desam party. The demand for second capital
in Rayalaseema has been in the radar for sometime and with the
government announcement, Rayalaseema leaders broke their silence.
Justice
Laxman Reddy who heads the Rayalaseema Sadhana committee has opposed
this decision and questioned why can't the government make Kurnool as
the temporary capital of AP. He also quizzed why the government has made
Vijayawada as capital in a hurry. “Kurnool has all the facilities that a
capital requires but don't know why the government made Vijayawada as
temporary capital and don't understand the logic behind either.
Moreover, Hyderabad is already a temporary capital and what is the
necessary for second fugitive,” said Laxman Reddy.
Congress
party too opposed the decision of temporary capital. Former PCC Chief
Botsa Satyanarayana in a statement said, “Vijayawada is made capital
only for the benefit of Krishna district TDP leaders. What will happen
to the Seemandhra people in Hyderabad and when key decisions like this
are taken, government should take the initiative of holding an all-party
meeting. This shows TDP has a agenda in making Vijayawada as capital.”
Andhra
Pradesh government has announced Vijayawada as the temporary capital of
the state and CM Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to search
for government properties and space around the city so as to move key
departments from Hyderabad.
Bollywood actress Rekha
has been under severe criticism over the past one week for not making
it to the Parliament and her attendance percentage was quite low. Rajya
Sabha debated over Rekha and Sachin Tendulkar's absence in the house and
few Mps demanded to declare their seat vacate. Cricket legend Sachin has explained his reasons for being away from Parliament sessions and
also got a grant for the leave he applied.
It was
the turn of Rekha now and all of a sudden she appeared today in
Parliament. As she was spotted by the media at the entrance of
Parliament, huge number rushed at Rekha to greet her. She was seen in
cream colored sari and greeted the media. Left Party MP P Rajeeve stood
in the house and announced in the mic about Rekha's presence.
This
Rekha's eight appearance in the Parliament, so far she attended only
seven days since she was nominated for Rajya Sabha in 2012. Hope now the
real politicians stop criticising them and focus on debate that will
benefit the people of country.
Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal has intensified his fight to hold fresh elections in Delhi at any cost.
On Sunday, the former chief minister of Delhi held a rally at Jantar
Mantar and demanded to dissolve the Delhi Assembly and call for fresh
polls.
This is
the first public gathering of AAP and Arvind Kejriwal post the Lok Sabha
elections and a good number of people turned up to the rally. Kejriwal
gave 35 minutes speech addressing the people. “The BJP government in
the Centre is wantedly delaying the elections in Delhi. We demand to
hold the elections now and are confident to win majority seats this time
to form government. If the government delays, AAP will gain strength
every day,” said Kejriwal. He also accused that BJP and Congress had to
come to mutual understanding in Delhi and hence are not holding the
elections. “They are scared and if elections are held, BJP and Congress
will be wiped in Delhi,” added the AAP convenor
AAP has
won 28 seats in last year elections which gave a major shock to the
Congress party which has been ruling for the past 15 years. However, AAP
stepped down from the government on February has the Jan Lokpal Bill
got deferred in the Delhi Assembly.
Finance
Ministry on Friday has appointed special development council to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's constituency Gajwel. This
council will work under Medak Collector while Deputy Collector will be
special officer and Revenue officer will look after the governing body.
The
Planning department was asked to come up with a master plan for the
development of Gajwel constituency. Also the department has asked
Finance Ministry to grant six additional posts to the authority.
There
is no stopping to rapes in Uttar Pradesh and also to the insensitive
comments by the ruling party leaders. Samajwadi Party honcho Mulayam Singh Yadav once again made strange statements backing the government in
handling rape incidents. When asked by media persons regarding a rape
and murder of a 32 year old woman, Mulayam replied, “there are 21 crores
people in Uttar Pradesh and yet lowest number of rapes are reported.”
In April,
SP chief drew outrage for his remarks like “boys are boys and they
commit mistakes” and pathetically vowed to change Law, if voted into
power. Thanks to the people for confining SP to only two seats out of
80.
The
Congress party has slammed Mulayam's comments right away. Rashid Alvi
said, “even one case of rape in a state, is a shame to the government,”
while Shobha Oza said such remarks will encourage criminals.
The
United States has extended its full support to Andhra Pradesh state to
push financial and infrastructural growth.A key member of the Obama
administration and US Assistant Secretary for Trade Promotion Arun Kumar
met AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and held discussions about
the possibilities for mutual co-operation and trade.
In this
meeting Mr Kumar has offered to introduce global perspective along with
practices in AP which could assist in Financial and infrastructural growth. Kumar also came up with a collaborative partnership between the
US Commerce Department and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. CM has
welcomed US decision and a joint working group would be constituted
which will monitor ongoing projects, exchange views and bilateral
issues.
Chandrababu
has offered an invitation to US President Barack Obama to visit Andhra Pradesh during his tour to India later this year through US officials.
This would boost more investment in AP region if at all Obama pays a
visit.
The
partnership main focus is on creating effective framework which enables
to exchange information critical in terms of development and resources
leading to a strong infrastructure and prosperity in Andhra Pradesh.
After the meeting, the government has released a press released which
highlighted the discussion between CM Naidu and US officials.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar
said his government will not compromise on anything which will benefit
the people and this is just the beginning of his governance. Addressing
the media after the six hours long cabinet meeting, KCR has said the
government has given nod for farm loan waiver, special privileges to the
martyrs families, Rs 1000 crores for minorities and over 43 topics are
discussed in the meeting.
KCR
reported that in the last decade or so, every scheme of government did
not reach the people but it filled the pockets of mediators. “Irrigation
project funds went to the contractors, scam in physically handicapped
pensions, scam in housing for the middle class and there are many such
schemes where the government funds went in vain. In our government,
every penny will be spent on people and as promised the government will
construct and allot two bedroom house to the beneficiaries,” said KCR.
On
government lands which were encroached, KCR added that the officials
will do re-survey and will take back Bhoodan lands, Wakf lands,
endowment lands and ENT lands. A Wakf Tribunal to protect land would
also be set up.
War with Centre
CM KCR
is also determined that he won't support the idea of Governor getting
involved in governance and also announced that he will hit hard back at
the Central government. “Giving special powers to Governor is disgrace
to the government of Telangana and we won't support this idea at all.
The government is ready to fight with Centre,” added KCR.
YSR Congress party chief and leader of opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
has set one month deadline to the government of Andhra Pradesh to come
out with a clarity on the farm-loan waiver scheme. Speaking to the
media, Jagan has said, “we waited for more than a month now and the
government is still making confusing statement on waiving of farm loans
while the farmers are worried. If the government fails implement its
promise, we will fight on behalf of people.”
Jagan
also warned that his party will rise the issue in budget Assembly
sessions which are scheduled in August. RBI gave its nod for
rescheduling of farm loans yesterday and currently the Kotaiah committee
is sketching out guidelines for the rescheduling. Chandrababu Naidu is
likely to make a statement about rescheduling during the Assembly
session. However, protest from YSRCP looks inevitable.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
is in thoughts to launch a television channel. Though Chandrababu Naidu
and TDP has the support of many media houses, Chandrababu opined to
have a own channel which emphasis the party irrespective of the
government. The discussions for establishing a channel was held couple
of days back and clarity on the launch may arrive in coming days.
TDP
insiders also feel that the party is lacking behind in owning a channel
which elevates party to the people. Nara Lokesh may be assigned to the
task of recruiting the staff, if the launch of channel is confirmed.
Pawan Kalyanhurt by the Andhra Pradesh bifurcation, stormed into politics. With
minimal political experience, Pawan's re-entry was huge sensation.
Launching massive attack on the parties for dividing the state in a
ruthless manner, Pawan gave a thought of contesting the elections.
However political parties started worrying about the split in the votes
with Pawan's arrival and his party Jana Sena.
As this
split of votes touched Pawan's ears, he withdrew the thought of
contesting the elections. At the Vizag public meeting, Pawan made it
clear that he did not enter the politics for the sake of money or any
lucrative post. “I came to question,” was Pawan's slogan. In Hyderabad
meeting Pawan claimed Chandrababu as good person and in Vizag meeting
Pawan openly supported Narendra Modi as PM candidate and also said that
he would meet him.
In this
mean time Modi wave also passed through him. After hectic brain
storming, Pawan decided to support BJP and TDP in the elections.
Firstly, Pawan appealed to all his fans to support Modi as PM and TDP in
the state. Having said that Pawan did not restrict himself to words, he
campaigned aggressively in Telangana and Seemandhra region. We can't
judge in Telangana whether Pawan's campaign helped or not because of the
Telangana sentiment factor which is much stronger but in Seemandhra,
Pawan will be the deciding factor for the BJP and TDP.
TDP went
alone in Municipal, ZPTC and MPTC elections and the results were very
much in favor of the cycle party. With Pawan extending the support for
general elections, the results of these elections can be expected one
sided. Definitely we can predict that Pawan's support we make a big
difference for TDP where the party is strong and wherever it is lagging
behind, Pawan can pull the strings and minimize defeat level. Overall
Pawan acted like Lord Sri Krishna in Kurukshetra battle..
Did Pawan
really influence people and have they voted for TDP, well these two
questions can be answered on May 16th, the day election results will be
out. The real test starts for TDP if it forms government in Seemandhra.
As we know Pawan who also claimed that he won't mind dragging anybody to
public if failed to fulfill the promises made.
As
Chiranjeevi reached the polling station, he stood in the queue along
with his wife, son Ram Charan and daughter Sushmitha. Notice the man in
white t-shirt who stood in line ahead of Chiru.
In this
image, with the request of general public, Chiranjeevi along with family
broke the queue and went directly into the polling room. You can still
notice the man in white t-shirt watching Chiru.
In this
image Chiru was shaking hand with director Teja and Chiru went back to
the queue after a man questioned him for breaking the queue. The man in
white t-shirt looks at Chiranjeevi who was earlier right infront and
within short gap, people poured down and pushed Chiru further backwards.
There is
absolutely nothing wrong in the general public making way for
Chiranjeevi and later questioning him. Chiru did not respond arrogantly
to the person who questioned him and politely returned to the queue.
However, the electronic media repeatedly showed the footage where the
man questions Chiru and specially few channels who are against Chiru
have showed the same footage n number of times.
We all
know, Media is currently biased and respective political parties have
their own channels. But Media Ethics are something upto an individual.

Poll battle
Jana Sena Party founder and president Pawan Kalyan reached Vizag
short while ago for his second public meeting at Indira Priyadarshini
stadium. The program is slated for 6 PM and Pawan will address the
public at 7 PM. “Youth of the Nation, Fight for the Nation,” is the
slogan Pawan will take up from this meeting.
PVP
ventures has looked after the arrangements and special gallery has been
organized for ladies. Fans who cannot make it to the stadium, special
screens have been established outside the stadium too.
Pawan is
likely to make some key statements regarding election strategy and will
also announce whether he will battle the elections or not. The political
analysts are quite curious about Pawan's speech as his first garnered
very good response.
Support
to BJP and TDP might be expected in Pawan's speech and the book written
by him and his friend Raju Ravi Teja will be released in this event.
Congress leader and Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi responded to Pawan Kalyan's comments
on Congress party and his slogan. Speaking to the media, Chiranjeevi
said, "Congress has 125 years history and nobody can do anything for it.
Pawan Kalyan called himself Indian, it is good but the Congress party
was sole reason for bringing Independence and recognition to every
citizen.”
Chiru
furhter added that, Pawan is an individual and has all the rights to
establish a political party. “Coming to the bifurcations, Congress party
is being blamed here but I say all the parties who gave letter in favor
of Telangana are also responsible for it,” said Chiru trying to push
the topic.
Chiru confessed that he did not yet understand Pawan Kalyan party's ideologies and will reply to them appropriate time.
Overall
Chiranjeevi tried all his efforts to defend Congress party as well as
his brother Pawan Kalyan and so he did not attack or made any personal
statements. Nobody Can Hatao Congres
Since last night, this slogan is gaining more importance and it was called by none other Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. Launching his political party Jana Sena
yesterday in Novotel hotel, Pawan said, “Congress is the sole
responsible for the all the problems that are bothering the state. So
Congress should be thrown out this state.”
Pawan's
speech is going viral all over and garnering very good response from the
common man. However, Pawan did not clarify that whether he would
contest in the upcoming elections or not. Pawan said that e would work
with any political party except the Congress and hinted that he would
speak to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
We have to wait and see how Congress party leaders reply to Pawan's statements on his slogan “Congress Hatao Desh Bachao”.
As each day progresses, we are getting close for Pawan Kalyan's political entry. Ever since the party name was announced as Jana Sena,
it got very good response from fans to common man. From last night, the
whole debate was about Pawan's party flag and the election symbol. But
as the flag was revealed today morning, it went viral in the internet
especially in the social media. In addition to this, a detailed
explanation was given on the flag and here it goes the Party Emblem is a
combination of our nation’s life and struggle.
The white
background on which it stands signifies the peace and stability of
several thousands of years of Indian civilization and culture.
The Colour Red The
colour red signifies revolution and it is the color of Communists. A
deep and true change from within, yet the story of that change is told
on the stable background of our ancient nation.
The Six-Pointed Star [Shat-Chakra] The
star in the emblem is a six pointed star that signifies the 6 ideals of
Pawan's party. The white in the star signifies self-luminosity which
shines on its own because ideals are lights unto path.
The Dot in the centre
The dot
in the centre represents the soul of every being. The soul is an
ultimate truth. The soul at the centre is also at the heart of
everything we do as individuals and as a nation.
The Black Line
The black
lining on the emblem symbolizes the balance between revolutionary zeal
and its opposing forces to avoid one-sidedness and discordance. It
represents the harmony of the opposites.
Later in
the day, Jana Sena Party song was released. The lyrics resemble a common
man's anger on various issues that are bothering the nation and also
they add some sense. With the use of heavy Telugu words, the song really
impresses but don't know will it get converted into votes.
And so
only a day left, even the political parties are eagerly waiting for
Pawan and his party. Across the state 27 centers were arranged for live
streaming and even in Bangalore city the launch will be witnessed live.
