State Congress reels under pressure over railway budget!
With
railway budget coming as a major shock to many leaders in the city-given
the high expectations they were having as MoS for railways hailing from
AP-PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana is now swinging into action for
appeasing leaders in the state. After a team of Congress leaders met PCC
chief on Friday noon, Botsa Satyanaraya held a press conference here in
Hyderabad. Although it was reported that the discussion revolved around
MLC seat, it was apparently true that the leaders discussed the railway
budget with special reference to Andhra Pradesh.
PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has presumably said that the railway budget didn't
meet the expectations. He has even said that he would use his influence
and good will to ensure that the state is given due importance.
Commenting on electricity cuts, Mr Botsa said efforts were on to
minimize the power cuts in the state.
Notably,
Congress has been reeling under pressure from not just opposition
parties but even observers and common people over railway budget with
allegations that the state has been cornered in the railway budget. On
contrary, ex railway employees termed this year's railway budget as a
national budget unlike other budgets wherein the ministers then focussed
more on the state they hailed from.
All in all, good part of the budget is that it emphasizes on women safety on trains, which is actually the need of the hour.
